Food. And white paper.
I read a while ago that a large white piece of posterboard or something similar can be used a reflector, so I picked on up. I think the piece of paper I bought is too thin to be properly used as a reflector, but it works pretty well as a backdrop for food photos.
I do, of course, mostly enjoy taking pictures of people, but when I'm writing my frugal blog, I end up needing a lot of pictures of inanimate objects(the first two pictures here are for a post about my first trip to the farmer's market). So, I'm kind of being forced to hone my non-people picture taking skills(it's either that, or searching through the Flickr Creative Commons, and that's sort of a pain!).
Anyways, I'm pretty tickled with the way the white paper made these photos look.
If I'd have just managed to get the very bottom tomato all the way in the frame, I would really love this shot. Happily, the tomatoes are available to pose for me tomorrow, so I can try again.

Yay me! I learned how to do a vignette.
My Photoshop skillz, they are improving. :)
The version without the vignette is the first photo in the previous post.
Also, I played around a little with the color on this one. It looks pretty cool on screen, especially when viewed larger, but for some reason the colors looked a little funky when I printed it. It may just be that I'm doing something wrong when I'm printing from Photoshop.
Here's the before.

Someone asked me this week
...if Sonia was ever sad.
(Check out the tears...they're easier to see if you click on the picture).
Yes, she is. Especially some days, like yesterday, when everything made her sad.

Those eyes
I love her blue eyes...so much fun to photograph. I feel really blessed to have two blue eyed-girls to take pictures of, especially since my husband and I both have brown eyes. Nothing against brown eyes, of course...I just think blue ones look more stunning in pictures.
The focus is not so good on this one, but I love her expression.
Obviously I didn't take this one, since I'm in it...it's compliments of my husband.

Tonight, we went for a walk.
Sonia and Zoe ride in the stroller, since their legs are short.
Daddy has a special way of pushing the stroller.
We visited the horses...
..and petted a dog.
And of course, we have to walk on all the posts at the ball field.
I love all the trees in my neighborhood(well, except in the fall).
